Craps II

The concept of playing a game of craps against the bank is that the game is played against the casino house itself. Either one or more players can involve in a game of bank craps. The casino house covers the bet amount that is wagered by all the players at the game table and formulates the winning odds of the payout to the victorious player(s). Each player gets his turn of rolling to dice and the player who is rolling the dice is known as the shooter. The rest of the participating gamblers can place wagers on the outcome of the shooter’s dice rolls. A game of craps can continue for several rounds and each round begins with the opening rollout of the dice, which is called the ‘come out roll’. The second round gets resolved either when a point or a 7 is rolled.

The game starts when a player intends to make a point as the shooter. He is required to stake a minimum bet amount as regulated by the game table on either of the two lines – Pass or Don’t Pass. In some games of craps, these are alternatively known as the Win or Don’t Win wagers as regards to the result of the shooter’s round of play. This is followed by one of the casino house staff involved with the conduct of play and called the stickman presenting the shooter with a choice of five dice from which the player selects two. There are eleven possible counts of number that can be rolled from the coordinates of six – 2 (1-1), 3 (1-2 or 2-1), 4 (2-2, 1-3 or 3-1), 5 (1-4, 2-3, 3-2 or 4-1), 6 (3-3, 1-5, 2-4, 4-2 or 5-1), 7 (1-6, 2-5, 3-4, 4-3, 5-2 or 6-1), 8 (4-4, 2-6, 3-5, 5-3 or 6-2), 9 (3-6, 4-5, 5-4 or 6-3), 10 (5-5, 4-6 or 6-4), 11 (5-6 or 6-5) and 12 (6-6).
